    What is the p_validate parameter?

Every API has a p_validate control parameter. This parameter controls whether only
validation or both validation and transaction occur.
When the parameter is set to TRUE, the transaction validates all business functions. A
savepoint is issued at the start of the API call, and a rollback completed at the end of the call.
If the procedure is successful, non warning OUT parameters are set to null, warning OUT
parameters are set to a specific value and IN OUT parameters are set to their original IN
    values.
When the parameter is set to FALSE, the transaction also validates all business functions, and
then, if the validation is successful, data manipulation is completed, setting and returning
values for non-warning OUT parameters, warning OUT parameters, and IN OUT parameters.
